Science Fiction

A Closed and Common Orbit by Becky Chambers

This book is told from the perspectives of an AI in a new body and a mechanic who escaped from her childhood as a genetically-modified slave working on a trash planet. It is a very character-driven story with LGBTQ+ and disability representation. Despite the galactic setting, it is a great read for folks who are new to or not big fans of sci-fi.
